Boddam Senior Citizens' Association is a fundraising group which provides Boddam and District senior citizens with Christmas vouchers which can be exchanged for goods at local shops.

The voucher system has proved very effective in that the senior citizens can get whatever they wish for the £10 voucher.

This year the group has put out 140 vouchers and this is divided mainly between the two local shops.

Fundraising for the vouchers has been carried out for many years. Concerts and raffles are the main sources of revenue. To meet the costs, and ensure that the senior citizens receive their annual vouchers, the sum of around £1,540 has to be raised annually.
